Hong Kong Street Old Chun Kee is a household brand renowned for their Singapore-style Cantonese cze cha cuisine. The late Mr Loh Mun Hon who was at the helm for the original brand, had passed down his recipes and skills to his disciples, who started their own ‘Hong Kong Street’ restaurants with his blessings.
At present, the Hong Kong Street Old Chun Kee name is synonymous with Har Cheong Gai (deep fried prawn paste chicken) which is familiarly regarded as a family favourite amongst Singaporeans. Each chicken wing is painstakingly marinated a day before with their secret concoction of fermented prawn paste and a mixture of spices to create intensely flavorful, juicy and crispy chicken.
Hong Kong Street Old Chun Kee also features more than 90 familiar local delights from salted egg crab, steamed ‘Song’ fish head with black bean sauce, cereal prawns, XO fish head bee hoon and their signature ‘Sun Lor Hor Fun’. You can expect plentiful portions, fresh ingredients and the ‘wok hei’ flavor in their dishes.
